If you are in a pinch and must go here, decline the "Spray Wax" service. Stop by autozone on your way home and buy a bottle of Turtle Wax for $7.99 - it'll last you a year.
This is the best place in the area for detailing your vehicles. I called on a Sunday afternoon anticipating to listen to a recording to find about business hours and instead PJ answered. He said to bring the car in Monday morning and he would have it back by lunchtime. I did and the car was ready on time and it looks the best it has ever looked. The customer service, work and price are outstanding. Don't waste your time looking for anyone else - PJ and Capital Detailing are by far the best auto detailing business around.
Unfortunately, the quality of work is sub-par and there's a bit of price gouging practiced here that exceeds the industry standard.
On Price Gouging: Omitting the Inadequacies highlighted above, the $30 rate for a clean and vacuum is on the high end of standard prices. However, upon checkout, a "Spray Wax" service using Malco "Show Room Shine" is offered for $20. A Gallon of this product is $30. Understand that less than 1/8 of a cup is used when spraying a car, taking no longer than 5 minutes. That's 128 uses from the gallon, netting $2,560/gal with negligible labor overhead.
On Quality of Work: While the body panels were *almost* entirely clean, the wheels received little attention with thick grime left on the sides of each spoke at all four corners. It is important to note that every door sill and jamb, including driver and passenger doors, trunk lid and hood were left untouched. Shockingly, the interior sides of every glass panel were untouched and exterior sides allowed to develop residue stains.
The owner is a nice guy and the shop offers a small waiting area for customers.
My 11 year old car has NOT been detailed since purchased. My cars interior was in a state, I thought of no turning back until yesterday. I am extremely pleased with my service, and the professionalism. My car feels, look and smell like new again, thank you Capital Detailing.
After I did some research decide to go to Capital Detailing. Just like everyone's reviews this place is awesome. The owner is very knowledgeable and his partner is good too. I'm a picky person when I saw the car I was amazed the whole car looks like a brand new car even the engine too. I'm satisfied and highly recommend this place!
