I first came to Hope, specifically for their internal medicine department. My dog was diagnosed by my longtime veterinarian, at a different facility, with mega esophagus. I was told by the veterinarian there, that there are no cures, or causes, to buy a bailey chair and good luck.
Staff took my dog immediately and began treating him before I was even given any paper work. They treated my dog with great care and kindness. I was kept informed of his condition and was encouraged to call in to check on him at any time. The hospital was clean and had a very pleasant waiting area for clients. I would not hesitate to return there with an injured or ill pet. I loved that they allowed visiting of patients.
Hope center came highly recommended by people on the mega esophagus support groups, so I called and made an appointment.
We brought our dog in at 4 am and received immediate and professional attention. Everyone we spoke with on the phone was fantastic and supportive, and there was never pressure to conduct unnecessary testing or procedures. We had all our options presented to us in a clear and straightforward manner, and I feel that our pup received the best standard of care. Our dog is doing great now! The facility is spotless and organized, and I would not hesitate to refer my friends to Hope for their veterinary emergencies.
I hate going to emergency vet care because it seems they scare you into spending money on tests just to tell you what you thought it probably was. Last night I unfortunately had to take my little malti poo in for pain that was really bothering him. Instead of sending me for x-rays and tests and making me bankrupt, the doctor used information I gave him, plus information he already knew about the small breeds, and came up with a great plan of action. We of course had the option for further testing, but everything he said made sense so we decided we didn't need it. My dog received top quality care, and we left there without spending a fortune.
He has been seen by Dr. Hurwitz and Dr. Pera, as well as many ED docs. I actually drove him all the way back to Maryland, to be treated, when he fell ill out of town. I trust everyone, there and they are immeasurably supportive, kind and wonderful. I have been through a lot with that clinic, and I really see them as family, from the front desk staff, to the MAs, to the I Med docs, and the ED doctors. Their kindness is unparalleled, and I think it should speak volumes to anyone that, knowing my dog was stable, I drove 8 hours from my family's home, back to Maryland to have him treated. I highly recommend Hope (Blue Pearl) for both their specialists and their ED.
I would highly recommend this emergency vet! They made my dog Roscoe and I their priority when another vet near by shooed us away. I thought these folks were very nice and their prices are reasonable for an emergency vet. I will come back if we ever need them again!
